| "You'll shoot your eye out." Yep, and it was a bitch. Take on more work than you can produce and that ol' Red Rider will lay a whoopin' on ya. Well, while I hate to make an all-new post about this, I think it has its place, and I will keep it as short as I can as this is already a pretty boring, repetitive subject. I gotta love the heck out of my wife. She really is the biggest source of reason in my life and her words always amaze me. She has never steered me wrong so I'll take her advice here and share it with the rest of the community. It has been a difficult challenge to meet all of the demands of running an expanding business - if you haven't tried to run and grow a business yourself, just ask any of the vendors here who have grown their business just how difficult it is to manage. I seem to have been having the hardest time with it, LOL. The biggest issue has been with delivery times of ordered product - we know this. Well, as the suggestion goes, "If that is the biggest issue everyone has been having, why dont you make it clear on your website that everything is built to order and it may take some time to deliver?" Product quality has never been the issue. It has only been the occasion of a blue moon that someone has had a complaint in the quality department. In fact, once the product finally arrives, customers boast about the quality. Prices are reasonable as well. I have run groupbuys in the past for almost all of my products and offer sales on my products through the course of the year. This is even an aspect of my business which is getting considerable focus and I expect to be able to lower the prices of some of my products at the beginning of the year - something that we will be capable of doing for the simple fact arising from the optimization of the manufacture of the products we offer. We realize the disintegration occuring within the economy and want to be able to cater to as many people as possible - with the small overhead we have this is a goal well within reach. So the solution here is to make sure that customers realize that product is not going to be shipped out yesterday. We do not stock product on the shelf - everything is built to order. I have updated our website to reinforce this fact - it can be found here: [ http://ashspecz.com/ashspec/ashspec.htm ] It is unfortunate how liberal the nature of the internet can be - it seems that virtually no-one practices conservatism when it comes to expressing their opinions. Not that opinions should be supressed, but I am sure that everyone here can agree with me that most opinions are highly biased and posted with virtually no fore-thought as to how it may be perceived or understood by the readers. In the course of time I have seen some members go to the extent of accusing me of thievery. I assure you all that I am no thief. In fact, through the course of this year I have given away more free product and partial refunds to customers to make up for the shortcomings on delivery times than in all the previous years combined. I may screw up but I do make good on it. So let that be the tune for the rest of this year. I'm not asking anyone to change their opinions - I'm only asking that those opinions be fairly weighed against the challenges of producing the kind of products AshSPEC offers and understand that balls are in motion to provide more favorable experiences for our customers. I hope to have made it clear through my website that the high-quality hand-built products we offer, which by the majority you aren't going to find anywhere else, may take some time to build and ship while we work to optimize our efforts in this process. There are really good products to come in the next few weeks of which I am sure we will not only be able to produce and ship in rapid succession, but also be able to provide the kind of customer service everyone is screaming for. I can only hope that my effort here to inform customers that our products are hand-built to order and will take some time to produce will clear up some of the misunderstandings. From us here at AshSPEC, have a great holiday!
